One for the Creative Eye

As I am currently on break, I literally have, nothing planned during the day time (when I'm off work). Some may say I'm lucky and some may say I should do something better with my time. So, I decided to put aside my urge to take a spontaneous trip down to the beach and instead, whip out my favorite book, 'Just Sew Stories' by the most creative & lovely Katie Allen, and put my artsy cap on. And... this is what I came up with!

While my sewing skills is really not all that great, I managed to whip out this handmade 'Hipster Doll' (as followed in the book by Katie Allen) and I've named him Trevor. The picture doesn't quite show it but he's also got 2 tiny legs with the same-patterned socks! And yes, he does indeed have an Afro.

For those with a creative mind, the ones who love to create things from scratch; I really do recommend this book as it gives you a whole lot of new things to make (whether it's on the weekend, at the beach, in your basement, on a treehouse, etc etc)

I will now attempt to make some Vintage Christmas-inspired headbands which I will share with you very, very soon. (Don't worry, I'm not going for anything with bling and there will be no Santa!)

PS Can you spot a sneaky picture that reveals my next outfit post? August Street, my wardrobe would not be complete without you.

Top - August Street / Candy Shirt
Necklace - Diva

Until next time (PPS Say 'Hi' to Trevor as he's waving right at you!)
